“The primary focus of my art practice is to engage with elements of human psychology and identify signifiers of these functions in the world.
I find myself drawn to depicting environments that bare the traces of human activity and spaces that are built for specific uses.
Common departure points for my work are issues of escapism, sexuality, conflict and the relationships that we form with other people, physical structure and the duality of our own mind and body.
Questions that I ask myself frequently relate to; issues of reality, sensations of connection, balance and potential.
I use large format camera equipment to capture the environments and people’s bodies in high detail. This allows me to produce large analogue photographic prints replete with the textures and sensations of the subject matter displayed.”
