"Somewhere behind the finished digital prints runs a fascination with the human as animal. And conjecture about that vast time-span of the silent years, before our species became the dominant one and before recorded human history. I think long and hard about human expression when fire and crude stone tools were the sum of available technologies. Then I attempt to strip down my own messages to a point where the Nikon D70, the G5 below desk, the wide flat screen above and the 6 colour pigment-jet printer all disappear.
