“I am interested in photographic space, time and surface. Some particular concerns have been the sense of absence and transience that photography often invokes, the passage of photographs through space and time and their shifting meanings, and various relationships between real subjects and their photographic representations. Photography functions for me as a kind of existential mirror, or shadow, and the traces of veritable existence that photography offers seem to coalesce the unknowable, the peripheral and the intangible.”
